Cancellation, Returns & Refunds Policy

Your cancellation rights differ depending on whether you've bought a physical hamper or a digital meal plan — this follows the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Physical hampers As a consumer buying online, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To cancel, email [contact email] within 14 days of delivery.

-
If the hamper is unopened and unused, we'll refund you in full (including standard delivery cost) once we've received the item back, or evidence you've returned it.
-
Important exception to flag and confirm: if the hamper contains fresh food items are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Regulations, because goods that deteriorate quickly can't reasonably be returned.Â
-
Return postage costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or not as described.
-
Damaged, faulty, or incorrect items: contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo, and we'll arrange a replacement or full refund including delivery, at no cost to you.

Digital meal plans Because digital products are delivered instantly, the 14-day cancellation right works differently:

-
Under Regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel within 14 days unless you've expressly requested delivery to begin within that period and acknowledged that doing so means you lose your right to cancel once download starts.
-
Once downloaded, refunds are only offered if the file is faulty (e.g. corrupted, wrong file) — contact us via email and we'll fix or refund.

Faulty goods
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to a refund, repair or replacement if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

How to request a cancellation, return or refund - simply email Charlotte@healthnutritionist.co.uk with your order number. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 14 days.

6. Health & Medical Disclaimer
The content, hampers, and meal plans available through Eating Through Cancer are intended to provide general nutritional support and comfort during and after cancer treatment. They are not medical treatment and do not replace advice, diagnosis, or care from your oncologist, GP, dietitian, or wider treatment team.

Every person's cancer diagnosis and treatment plan is different, and nutritional needs can vary significantly depending on treatment type, stage, and individual circumstances. Always speak to your medical team before making significant dietary changes, particularly during active treatment, and especially if you have specific dietary restrictions, allergies, a stoma, swallowing difficulties, or are on medication with known food interactions.

Our meal plans and hamper product descriptions draw on published evidence and guidance, including ESPEN (2021) guidelines on nutrition in cancer patients, WCRF (2018) recommendations, and Ryan et al. (2012), but they are general in nature and not a personalised clinical assessment. If you'd like individually tailored dietary support, we recommend booking a 1:1 consultation at healthnutritionist.co.uk.
